Tim Mitchell, general superintendent of the Chicago Park District, has been awarded the 2004 Preservation Excellence Award for Roof Restoration done to the Pulaski Park Field House with special recognition to the contractor, Knickerbocker Roofing.

The Field House, an important piece of Chicago’s historic and architectural heritage, is adorned with Ludowici’s Classic XL Tile in a custom green color, which fits the history and surroundings of the complex.

The Chicago Landmark Award, selected by the Commission on Chicago Landmarks, honors outstanding projects that involved notable improvement to individual Chicago Landmarks.
