Three area subcontractors received awards for their
safety programs at the annual meeting and safety
awards program of the Association of
Subcontractors & Affiliates (ASA Chicago).
Honored were: Andersen Concrete Pumping and Equipment Rental, Inc., a
South Holland-based subcontractor specializing in commercial concrete
pumping and equipment rental; Triumph Restoration, a Mokena-based
subcontractor specializing in commercial building restoration; and
Knickerbocker Roofing, a Harvey-based subcontractor specializing in
commercial roofing, sheetmetal, and waterproofing.
This was Knickerbocker's fifth award; Triumph's fourth award and Andersen's first award.
Awards are presented to companies that have demonstrated continuing
efforts in the implementation of exemplary safety programs. ASA Chicago
is presenting awards to 43 member firms for their impeccable safety
records in 2005.
In presenting the awards,
safety committee chairman Bob Smith, of The Levy
Co., said, "These firms have demonstrated a
commitment for safety by reducing workplace accidents
from the previous year and having the
safest work sites among our members. They set an example
for all subcontractors to follow."
