Knickerbocker Roofing Recognizes National Manufacturing Day!
Leave a CommentThis Friday, October 6th, National Manufacturing Day (NMD) will highlight our industry, recognizing the hardworking businesses and employees that keep roofing and manufacturing at the forefront of the U.S. economy.
For those companies and community organizations interested in joining this national effort you can register on the official site where your event can be marked as public or invitation-only.
One of the annual objectives is to inspire the next generation of innovators for a continuous and thriving infrastructure. NMD puts a spotlight on the more than 2,000 American manufacturers who focus on the youth of our nation in an effort to mend the skills gap and help students pursue promising careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Manufacturing and engineering are two of the biggest contenders for the spread of STEM education because all of those retained skills are then later and continuously applied throughout any given career path. Apprenticeships are one great option for interested students to pursue, as it gives participants the opportunity to flex, apply, and maintain relevant skills even further.
At Knickerbocker Roofing we stand behind National Manufacturing Day initiatives as the next generation is the mantle of future American production and innovation. We also support other NMD efforts that include debunking manufacturing myths and reshoring business and career opportunities back to the U.S.
