This past Fall, Knickerbocker was proud to join Digs With Dignity’s Second Annual Welcome Home Gala at Lacuna Lofts in Chicago as a Platinum Sponsor. Guests enjoyed a lively evening celebrating the 150+ Chicago Families who are safe and secure in their own home thanks to Digs’ amazing work. Through our co-sponsorship, we aim to raise awareness and funds to furnish homes for deserving families, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and comfort. As a steadfast sponsor of the annual fundraising event “Angels in the Fairway”, Knickerbocker Roofing stands alongside Joey’s Angels in their mission to make a difference in the fight against leukemia, contributing to a community-driven initiative that brings hope and support to those affected by this disease.

Through FH Paschen, a general contracting firm with whom Knickerbocker has had a strong working relationship dating back to the 90s, we were introduced to the event and organization. Over the years we have developed a great relationship with its founders who have raised over $3 million in net revenues in support of the Leukemia Research Foundation. La Rabida Children’s Hospital is dedicated to improving the lives of their patients who live with complex conditions, disabilities, or chronic illness. For over two decades, Knickerbocker Roofing has proudly supported La Rabida through continuous sponsorship and charitable contributions. Since the early 2000s, Knickerbocker management personnel have attended and contributed to the hospital’s Annual Fundraising Gala, helping to raise essential funds for children in need. In 2005, Knickerbocker personnel took their commitment a step further by funding the construction of an outdoor children’s play yard on the hospital’s property, offering young patients a safe and enjoyable space for recreation and recovery.
Every year, Knickerbocker management personnel, along with their family members, bring the holiday spirit to life by decorating the hospital’s lobby for the Christmas season, creating a festive and warm environment for patients and staff alike. Ronald McDonald House Charity provides comfort, care and support for families with children who are sick around the world. When the best medical treatment for a child is far from home, families don’t have to worry about where to stay. At a Ronald McDonald House, families can be together, enjoy home-cooked meals and receive compassionate hospitality and support from staff and volunteers — all near the child’s hospital. In 2017, Knickerbocker adopted the Ronald McDonald House near the UChicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital. We provide regular roof maintenance and repairs so families can stay in comfort while focusing on the care of their child.
