Knickerbocker Roofing & Paving Co. Inc. was selected to complete one of Firestone Building Corporation’s largest projects in 2011. The project consisted of roof removal and replacement on the historic DuSable High School, the premier African American high school in Chicago with alumni such as former Chicago Mayor Harold Washington, singer Nat King Cole, and comedian Redd Foxx.
The project, one of the most successful commissioned by Firestone, consisted of removing and replacing the 112,000 square foot roof on a tight 9-month schedule using 25 workers. We selected to use 20 year NDL roofing for its longevity, durability, and the product’s guarantee.
Knickerbocker is often selected for projects with challenging components, important structural significance, and tight timelines due to our reputation for quality, client satisfaction, and experience in various project scenarios. We welcome the opportunity to put those values to work for you.
