Roof Installation Service on a Boat House at North Avenue Beach

When the Chicago Park District had a special roofing project which required new roofing, plaza pavers, and custom fit sheet metal fabrication, they turned to Knickerbocker Roofing & Paving Co. Inc. The structure, a beach house built to appear as a ship run aground, is located at the North Avenue beach in Chicago.

This project offered many specific challenges.  To fit the boat-shaped structure’s roof, we shop fabricated the sheet metal coping cap and formed it to fit the center of the prow on the beach house. We then applied a cold BUR roof system with a metallic grey finish.

Our client also requested we install and level patio pavers for the upper level restaurant/party deck. With our patio paver installation, the public has been able to enjoy the many events at this unique Park District Facility.
