INSTALLATION OF A BITUMEN ROOF SYSTEM FOR THE RICHARD T. CRANE TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL
At Knickerbocker Roofing & Paving Co. Inc., we not only excel in roofing and sheet metal fabrication work, we also excel when coordinating with other trades to ensure the overall project is completed with minimal problems. A fine example of this is a recent project to remove and install a new roof at a school in Chicago, Illinois.
The Richard T. Crane Technical High School was undergoing massive masonry rehabilitation, consisting of approximately 100 masons working around the clock to complete the wall rebuilding work during the 2 month summer recess. At this time, the school also requested our services to remove the old roof and install a code compliant new roof system at 15 roof levels covering 110,000 square feet. A monumental task we knew we could successfully complete.
We assembled several crews of our talented and highly skilled tradesmen and women, who installed a new Firestone Ultra White modified bitumen roof. We ensured that our project managers worked closely with the masons to coordinate time and logistics issues so their tasks didn’t interfere with ours, and vice versa. We completed the project without disruption and on time for the beginning of the school year. No challenge is too big for Knickerbocker Roofing. Let us put our knowledge and experience to work for you.
